Acceptable Use Policy

How GuardRail may and may not be used by clients, vendors, and other authorised users.

Effective date: November 1, 2025

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy explains prohibited and restricted uses of GuardRail.

Permitted Use

You may use GuardRail only for legitimate business purposes consistent with these policies and applicable law.

Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • use GuardRail to send spam, unsolicited bulk emails, or unauthorized promotional communications,
  • use the Services to solicit unrelated parties, scrape contact details, or harvest data,
  • create fake organisations, fake vendors, or misleading profiles,
  • impersonate any person or organisation,
  • upload malicious code, ransomware, spyware, or harmful files,
  • attempt to bypass authentication, permissions, or security controls,
  • probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without our written consent,
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where the law allows it and cannot be excluded,
  • disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Services or infrastructure,
  • upload unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, infringing, abusive, or offensive content,
  • upload data you do not have authority to upload or share,
  • use the platform for unlawful surveillance or to build competing datasets or products,
  • use the Services in a way that infringes privacy rights or data protection laws.

Content Restrictions

You must not upload or store:

  • malware or dangerous files,
  • unlawful pornography or sexual exploitation material,
  • content promoting violence, hate, discrimination, or terrorism,
  • stolen confidential data,
  • material that infringes intellectual property or confidentiality rights.

Communications

If you use GuardRail to send messages, invitations, or reminders, you must ensure those communications are authorised, relevant, and compliant with applicable anti-spam and communications laws.

Security Cooperation

You must cooperate with reasonable security investigations and must not attempt to conceal misuse of the Services.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches and may remove content, suspend accounts, restrict features, or terminate access where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached.
